My Story |
|
I’ve always loved to organize things. Even as a child I would sometimes amuse myself by spending the afternoon rearranging the bookshelf, organizing the contents of the cupboards, or sorting through papers and memorabilia to create a system of some sort. I loved the feeling of accomplishment it gave me every time I walked into the room.
As an adult, life has provided me with ample opportunities to hone my organizational skills. Our 16 moves as a military family have taught me the value of purging and given me countess experiences creating solutions to the various organizational challenges that arise as a natural part of the relocation process. As a mother of four, I’m also well acquainted with the never-ending challenge of keeping clutter and chaos at bay while striving for balance in a busy life.

After 20+ years volunteering my services as an organizer to friends, family and various community and charitable organizations I decided I wanted to be a professional organizer. The more opportunities I have to help people transform their space and their lives, the more committed I am to that decision.

My Philosophy of Organizing |
|
As an organizer, these are the key concepts that define both my personal convictions and my professional approach.
- I am dedicated to the notion that organization has the power to transform people’s lives by reducing stress, increasing productivity, improving peace of mind and nurturing a sense of empowerment.
- While it may be true that organization does not come naturally to everyone, I firmly believe that organization is a skill that anyone can learn. It just takes a little time, a little determination and a little patience. The best way to become organized is to take it a step at a time, working in manageable chunks. This method yields impressive, lasting results if consistently applied.
- Anyone can tidy up; the results that matter are the results that last, and that often requires a change in thinking and behavior. I'm committed to helping everyone I work with to become a more organized person through one on one instruction in basic principles of organization and the development of individualized systems designed to meet their personal needs and maintain the order we create together.
